Below you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we get here at Event Prop Hire.

How much do your props cost to rent?

With over 10,000 props in stock, our prices vary. In addition to this, we do operate minimum prop spends depending on where in the UK the props are to be delivered to. Full details of our minimum prop spends, delivery rates can be found on our pricing page here.

Do you sell any props or build custom props to sell?

In general we do not sell our props or accept bespoke build commisions.

Are your props fire retardant?

Risk assessments can be made available for any of our props. Not all props are fire retardant. Please contact a member of the sales team on 01937 222 777 for more details.

What is dry hire?

Dry Hire means that props are delivered to, and collected from, a loading bay (or equivalent) by a single driver only and the hirer must provide unloading/loading assistance to the driver. For those who would like some help to install the props we can offer an Install & De-Rig Service.

How are your props delivered?

Most of our props are delivered by an Event Prop Hire van and driver, or in some cases, we use a trusted 3rd party courier. Event Prop Hire drivers will give you a courtesy call or text shortly before they are due to arrive to ensure that you are ready to receive the goods.

Are the props assembled on delivery?

Some props arrive assembled, others need assembling. Speak to our Sales Team for advice on what assembly is required. If you have not requested our installation service, it is your responsibility to assemble the props on site for your event. Please allow enough manpower and time to assemble your props.

Do you provide installation and de-rig services?

Event Prop Hire can take care of everything, from the delivery of your props to setting them up, or if you would like us to help with the dressing or theming of your venue. All install and de-rig pricing is individually priced so please contact a member of our sales team for a quote here.

Can I collect props to save money?

Yes. You can collect the props from our warehouse in Wetherby. This is by appointment only. You must ensure the vehicle you bring is large enough to accomodate the props you are collecting and that no damage is incurred fitting the props into your vehicle and transporting them. Please check in advance with your Event Prop Hire sales contact as to whether the vehicle you plan to collect the props in will be large enough for their safe transportation.

Do you offer discounts for charity, amateur dramatics and school productions?

Do you offer discounts for charity, amateur dramatics and school productions? Event Prop Hire works with a number of designated charities. However, due to the large number of charity requests we receive, we cannot accommodate charity enquiries outside of our designated (chosen) charities.
