We work with an ever-growing & impressive range of clients from well-known TV Shows, to Visitor Attractions, Corporate Clients, Weddings and Private Parties. From our HQ in Thorp Arch Wetherby, we supply props and theming to over 2,000 events & bespoke projects each year, manufactured in our state of the art Production Facility, and delivered Nationwide by our own logistics fleet.
Our Warehouse is an Aladdin’s cave of props, furniture and theming, totalling over 145,000 sq ft. With over 9,000 different unique products, most built by our in-house teams- our warehouse environment is unique. Within the warehouse are different specialist sub-sections – including Foliage, Soft Furnishings, AV & Electrical, Print and General Props.
We are looking for an Electrics Technician to support the Electrics Section Lead in the preparation of hire items, ensuring a high level of accuracy and quality in accordance with health and safety regulations. No experience in electrics / PAT testing is required, as we are pleased to offer full training to the right candidate. The role requires handling, preparing, loading and checking-in stock for event rental.
Responsibilities
• Picking, safely preparing and returning stock from warehouse locations
• PAT testing of electrical stock
• Replacing of bulbs in lighting stock
• Checking cabling and props for any signs of damage or wear and tear
• Undertake basic maintenance and repairs of equipment
• Demonstrate an eye for detail attention on quality, ensuring the highest standards when handling and checking stock, reporting any quality concerns to your line manager
• Accurately keep all systems and records up to date
• Follow H&S procedures and workplace practices, by demonstrating the highest level of safety in the workplace
• Ensure department is kept clean, tidy and in order
• Take care of Electrical department tools and equipment
• Support the wider needs of the company by flexible working during seasonal peaks
• Any other reasonable tasks as required

Hours of work
Flexible approach to shift working needed. Typically shifts operate Monday to Friday and in peak season includes Saturdays also. Currently shifts are 8am – 4.30pm with regular overtime available with earlier starts and later finishes. In peak seasons you will be required work different shift patterns and/or weekends to meet the demands of the business.
