To provide support to our expanding Marketing team, we are now on the lookout for an Content Writer. The role will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content across various platforms to reach our target audience, and play a key role in developing and executing content strategies that align with our brand and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Your day to day responsibilities will be:

• Conducting thorough research on assigned topics to gather accurate and relevant information and stay updated on industry trends, news, and changes that may impact content.
• Developing engaging, high-quality, and error-free content for different platforms including our marketing team, website, blogs, email marketing, and more.
• Incorporating relevant keywords and following SEO best practices when writing website content and blogs to improve content visibility in search engine results.
• Tailoring content to meet our desired target audience and adapt writing style and tone based on the platform, audience, and purpose of the content.
• Meeting deadlines for content delivery, working efficiently to produce quality content on time, and revising existing content to reflect business changes or new preferences.
• Collaborating with other colleagues, such as Sales, Marketing, and other departments to create comprehensive and effective content.
• Researching relevant content by conducting interviews with colleagues to produce factually correct blogs and newsletters.
• Working with our graphic designers and marketing teams to ensure that the copy fits the needs of the project, for its desired platform.
• Editing and proof-reading own work and that of others.

Skills/attributes required

To be successful in the role, you will be expected to have 2 years of experience working in a writer/similar role, and a strong foundation in different writing styles and techniques.

Experience in content management systems such as WordPress would be an advantage, as well as a degree in English, journalism, or communications.

Additional required skills include:
• Excellent written communication skills, and the ability to write compelling and engaging copy.
• Impeccable grammar skills
• Content creation, structuring articles, choosing consumer titles, and assigning SEO keywords.
• Market research and analysis skills to identify trending, in-market topics.
• Advanced computer literacy skills.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly and collaborating effectively with a diverse team.
• Ability to thrive under pressure while consistently delivering high-quality outputs.

Hours of work

Part time up to 16 hours per week. Freelance for ad hoc assignments will be considered
