Established for over 19 years, EPH Creative is one of the UK’s leading event & theming suppliers. We work with an ever-growing & impressive range of clients from well-known TV Shows, to Visitor Attractions, Corporate Clients, Weddings and Private Parties. We supply props and theming to over 2,000 events & bespoke projects each year.
Our headquarters near Wetherby house an Aladdin’s cave of props, furniture and theming, over 145,000 sq ft. Our State of the Art Scenic Production facility is one of the largest in the UK.
As a result of company growth, we are now recruiting for an Event Installer to join our Operations team. You will create unforgettable, treasured experiences for our clients. You may be building Enchanted Forests, Winter Wonderland or Caribbean Beach themed events one day, or private Birthday Parties & Corporate Events the next. We are looking for people to join our team who exemplify the EPH Creative spirit who will share our passion & enthusiasm with our clients.
As this role will involve UK-wide travel on a frequent basis, we need candidates with a flexible schedule who will be happy to turn up at any venue, at any time, with a smile on their face and a great attitude. You will need to have practical skills & people management skills as this is a very hands-on role with capability to run onsite crew at events. Having problem solving skills will come in very handy as this role will include making on-the-spot decisions regarding time-sensitive events. A creative flair with a solid eye for styling is a must.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the client during install to ensure all installs are completed to an exceptional standard
• Take responsibility for running internal & 3rd party crews at event venue
• Liaise directly with multiple event staff across varying positions & disciplines
• Be able to complete prop builds to a very high standard
• Supervise internal & external crew in prop building
• Communicating estimates of meeting event deadlines to client
• Ensure smooth running of install including multiple props & electrics
• Efficiently problem-solve any issues or last minute changes to event plan
• Carry out any pre-event site visits required to cross check against any conflicts with props and venue, or any difficult access issues
• Liaise closely with Sales, Logistics, Operations & Warehouse Teams to ensure smooth running of event & any issues are resolved in advance
• Obtaining feedback from clients throughout the install process. Communicating any issues to Operations Project Manager in order to continually improve services
• Strictly follow & comply with all health & safety rules at all times, ensuring RAMS are adhered to.

Skills/attributes required

• Be able to travel regularly across the UK, staying overnight regularly where required
• Have a flexible schedule and be able to work frequent evenings, nights & weekends
• Personable with strong communication skills
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Ability to bring a creative flair and design eye to installs
• Be able to work from plans efficiently and with minimal disruption to client
• Problem-solving skills
• Prior experience installing at large scale events a must
• Ability to adapt to quickly changing situations with aplomb
• Able to assist in other areas of the business when not on live events

Hours of work

A flexible approach to travel & start/finish times is required.

Salary:

£12.00 p/h-£17.00 p/h, negotiable dependant on experience.
