We are looking for talented, professional team leader with exceptional technical and creative hands-on skills to join our team to help deliver industry leading creative event solutions for our clients.
The role of Events Manager is to provide operational management of event projects – client liaison, installations, derigs, safety, RAMS and service level adherence This role includes liaison with team members across the business from a technical perspective.
As this role will involve UK-wide travel on a frequent basis, you will be required to have a flexible schedule and will be happy to turn up at any venue at any time with a smile on your face always with and a great attitude. You will need to have both practical & people management skills as this is a very hands-on role and will require you to run company staff and onsite crew at events. Your problem-solving skills will be essential in this role as you will be required to make educated on-the-spot decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan & coordinate client events focussing on the intricate details and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Develop detailed plans for each event, outlining key areas, deadlines, and responsibilities.
• Develop comprehensive pre-install plans, distribute to relevant parties, and hold pre-install team meetings if necessary.
• Efficiently address and resolve any issues or last-minute changes to the event plan, allocate resources effectively, ensuring that all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials are available for the event.
• Produce logistics quotes using the internal costing tool, ensuring accurate operational and cost information is provided to the sales team.
• Oversee event budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure all financial aspects of the event are tracked and within the allocated budget.
• Fully manage allocated projects, including client liaison, planning install team requirements, and briefing all stakeholders on event specifics.
• Liaise and build relationships with third-party suppliers, obtain quotes, raise purchase orders, and ensure costs align with the job budget.
• Organise and/or conduct pre-event site visits to identify and address any potential conflicts with props, venue or access issues where necessary
• Attend Event Installs as necessary, acting as the main point of contact, leading install team members and liaising with clients and third-party event staff to ensure project is delivered to an exceptional standard.
• Ensure full adherence to Health & Safety standards on every project, guaranteeing that RAMS are always followed.
• Obtain feedback from clients throughout the install process. Communicating any issues to Event Operations Manager to continually improve services.
• Reflect on previous project successes and lessons learned to prevent recurring issues by holding post project communications and reviews.

Skills/attributes required

• Prior experience project managing & installing in the events industry
• Knowledge & experience of producing and working from health & safety risk assessments
• Prince 2 / equivalent project management qualification an advantage
• Knowledge & experience of technical applications – prop builds, stand building, flooring, AV, hand & power tools or MHE an advantage
• Problem solving skills with the ability to adapt to quickly changing situations
