Job Description
Purpose: As the Goods In & Production Operative, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the intake of raw materials and supplies, conducting quality checks, and accurately recording inventory. This includes overseeing goods in deliveries, distributing materials among departments, coordinating stock movements, and ensuring waste management efficiency. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining a well-organised production environment, handling small repairs, and supporting the team in various tasks. Your proactive approach, physical capabilities, and adaptability will enable you to thrive in this role.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Coordinate and inspect Goods In deliveries, including distribution to relevant personnel.
• Identify and label fabric deliveries with PT ticket numbers, facilitating their movement to the upholstery department.
• Hold responsibility for new stock deliveries of props and prop materials, including quality control inspections, counting & verification of stock deliveries.
• Manage stock inventory & movements for materials including poly, sheet wood, timber, and stock room consumables.
• Conduct weekly stock checks of production materials to ensure accurate inventory records.
• Efficiently handle waste coordination, separating recyclables and arranging waste removal.
• Facilitate stock transfers among the Quarantine department, Production, and Warehouse.
• Perform minor prop repairs as per appropriate training and skills, contributing to Production functionality.
• Maintain the Production department’s facilities, involving tasks such as filter replacement, cleaning duties, and general assistance to the Production Team.
• Ad-hoc duties as required to increase productivity & functionality of the Goods in & Production Departments
Skills/attributes required
Skills:
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate & perform upcoming tasks and requirements
• Hold all or be willing to train for following MHE licences; Counterbalance, Man-UP (VNA), Pivot Steer (Bendi)
• Physically fit with the capability for regular heavy lifting.
• Adaptable nature, enabling smooth transitions between various tasks.
• Self-starter who can work independently and with minimal supervision.
Hours of work
Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm
