Established for over 19 years, EPH Creative is one of the UK’s leading event & theming suppliers. We work with an ever-growing & impressive range of clients from well-known TV Shows, to Visitor Attractions, Corporate Clients, Weddings and Private Parties. We supply props and theming to over 2,000 events & bespoke projects each year.
Our headquarters near Wetherby house an Aladdin’s cave of props, furniture and theming, and our State of the Art Scenic Production facility is one of the largest in the UK. As a result of expansion we are now looking for a hands-on creative administrator to join our Projects Team as Buyer.
Our Projects team oversee both the development of new rental products, and bespoke build projects. The Projects department estimates and manages these products and projects from quote through production to completion. Most of the items produced are one-off special builds, designed and built -in house, often with very short timescales. Creativity, Quality and Care are our core values, and we pride ourselves on our excellent reputation and repeat client business.
As Buyer you would maintain stock levels for the Production Department and place orders, in addition to supporting Project Managers with purchasing tasks, as well as carry out your own sourcing and purchasing projects. The role is wide and varied, and no two days are the same.
You are a resourceful practical thinker with a creative eye. You love to be organised, and like to know every detail. You are a proactive and energetic team player, supportive of your co-workers and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and suppliers alike. You are calm under pressure, able to juggle multiple priorities and make decisions confidently. You are enthusiastic about what we do, and excited to help contribute to the development of the department.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing a wide variety of materials and items for the projects team – this is varied, and you need to be resourceful – often like a detective – searching for the perfect solution that meets the requirements and budget!

• Placing all weekly, monthly etc orders for the Production department- checking stock levels and ensuring minimum stock levels or stock materials in Production.

• Ad-hoc daily purchasing -regular communication with the Workshop floor in Production to ensure they have all the materials and consumables they require for upcoming builds.

• Overseeing all Purchasing for Stock, Projects and Production -ensuring all orders are on systems, deadlines are clear and goods arrive in time

• Record all purchasing accurately on systems, raising orders, and record all delivery and supplier information

• Actively look for new relevant suppliers, and attending annual Purchasing trade shows for key industries

Hours of work

Usual office hours are 9am – 5.30pm, or 8am -4.30pm Monday to Friday. We are looking for part time or full time applicants who are interested in this role – 30-40hrs. Due to the collaborative and practical nature of the role, it is not possible to work from home.

Salary:

£24,000 - £28,000 (Salary tbc depending on experience)
